350ml coffee cup and lids

Project summary

The ECOtanka 350ml Stainless Steel double-wall vacuum coffee cup was a project that had to meet and number of certian design citera.  Due to the requiements the cup had to be designed and made backwards compared to the standard design.

The main pourpose for this cup was to make it much the same a a paper cup but with a better design to the cup so holding the cup felt very comfitable.  The inner layer had to come out of the top of the  cup to create the top rolled edge to create the same look feel and function as a paper cup.  The top rolled edge had to be a set size in order to fit the 90mm plactic single use lids.

ChillMate
2L beer growler

Project summary

ChillMate 2L beer growler was designed to look clean and sharp, built tought and keep your drink cold and under pressure if using C02.  The design had to be flexable to support common attachments so the overal cost would be more afforable on the market.

The inner layer had to be designed to support the C02 pressure to stop the bottom from caving in.  The top needed to fit a ready maded soild stainless steel lid to support a tap and C02 pressure system.  The bottle also has its own lid with double seals and insurlation to help keep your drink fresh longer.

ECOtanka & ChillMate
Bamboo Stainless Steel Lid

Project summary

ECOtanka and ChillMate needed a new natural lid to fit there new cups.  ECOtanka had a wine cup and ChillMate had 2 stainless steel cups 350ml and 450ml.

We made this lid from bamboo, added a clear coat then added a thin stainless steel pressed design to the bottom that would be in contact with the liquid in side of the cup.  

This lid is now used for 3 different cup design cups, sizes and shape just by changing the silicone seal that fits around the stainless steel.

350ml Wine Cup with Ceramic Coating

Project summary

The ECOtanka Grail 350ml wine cup was designed and made with a ceramic inner coating, this coating stopped the stainless steel from changing the taste of red wine, so the full flavour of the wine could be enjoyed.  With out this coating the red wine flavour will not taste the same.

At the time of making this cup there was no other stainless steel wine cup on the market with an inner coating to protect the flavour of the wine.

Vedalife
5.0L Stainless Steel Water bottle

Project summary

The Vedalif bottle was designed and made for people who worked out at the gum that needed extra large volume of water.  This bottle is single wall with a capasity of 5L (128 gallons), It was not round in its shape so the stainless steel middle section was fully pressed and the bottom also had to be pressed, then both parts needed to be pressed together before welding the join.

The top plastic section was made in two parts, the top lid was your standard lid type and the section connected to the top lid was also a bigger lid that can be taken off and your hand can fit inside for cleaning or adding ICE.

Stainless Steel foodbox and pocketbox

Project summary

The ECOtanka foodbox and pocketbox project was a very challing project.  The idea was to have a food/luncbox around 2L in size and a sealing system to make it air tight along with no plastic in contact with your food. 

The overal out come of the foodbox is the stainless steel lid can be fitted to the main body as an old fasion simple container.  The lid can then have a silicone seal fitted and a plastic locking frame to connect it to the main body and make it sealable, this makes it very easy to keep clean and all parts can be replaced so the product can last a very long time.

The pocketbox was made to fit 2 in the main body of the foodbox regardless of the way you fit the lid.  The pocketbox has a think silicone mostly sealable lid, this box can be used with the main foodbox or on its own.

Stainless Steel Bottle Lid

Project summary

The Stainless Steel 44 Wave Lid was made to over come some other lid problems in some countries due to patent registed designs.  This lid has a pressed wave shape to the outer ring and a wide flat handle which is much easier and nicer on your hand for carring your bottle.

The handle is soild stainless steel bent into the design shape we made.

The outter part of the lid is designed to fit over the top of any bottle it is fitted to making the top of the bottle more hyginic to drink directly from the bottle.

Seamless Stainless Steel Bottle with no welding

Project summary

The bottle we called the G bottle.  This was a very special project and not easy to do, every factory we went to turned us away and said this bottle could not be made.

All other bottles on the market are made from a tube of stainless steel with a weld join down the middle and a bottom welded to the bottom, this bottle has been fully pressed into shape from a sheet of stainless steel, no welding or joins!!!

The hardest part is to press the bottle back in past the outer point of the pressed shape.

Due to this bottl having no weld joins it can be used for liquids that need to be put under a lot more pressure, so there is no worries of the weld join giving away.
